This section is intended to help answer some of the most frequently asked questions related to Hill Creek Farms.
How long has the farm been open to the public?
This Fall is the sixth year when a significant number of apples can be harvested from most trees at Hill Creek Farms.
However, everyone should be aware that mother nature has been challenging during past years. Drought and other forms of harsh weather can limit your harvest.
Join us in harvesting the best an orchard has to offer. The trees will be more and more productive as years pass.
Is membership required to enjoy the farm?
No, Hill Creek Farms is open to the public. We offer U-Pick services if Tree Leasing is not your style.
What is the cost for exclusive picking rights?
Sets of three trees (one of each variety, growing side-by-side) are available for $225. Enjoyment and exclusive picking rights extend through November, 2013.
Sets of six trees, (two of each variety, all growing side-by-side) are $400.
If leasing trees isn't for you, we also offer U-Pick apples.
Do Lessees get to select their trees?
Yes, you'll get a chance to walk through the orchard and pick out three adjacent trees. The rows are identified by letters and the trees by numbers so you'll always be able to find your trees with ease.
How does the farm keep other people from picking my apples?
At Hill Creek Farms, we believe that good character and hard work is a strong aspect of farming. Thus, we follow an honor system throughout the farm. We expect lessees to respect others and to police their children while at the farm.
Is there off-street parking?
Yes! We have a large grassy parking area.
Is there a program for schools?
We have an excellent free program for classrooms that would like to learn about apples and farming. Contact us for details.
May we bring our Dog (or other pet) to spend the day with us at the farm?
We love our pets, but due to insurance regulations they are not permitted on the Farm.
We are closed for the 2014 Season
We would like to thank you for making this a fantastic Fall Season! We will be reopening in late August for the 2015 season. We expect a full harvest, and we hope to see you then.
