How long has the farm been open to the public?
This fall is the sixth year Hill Creek Farms will be in operation.
Is membership required?
No, Hill Creek Farms is open to the public.
What is the cost of leasing three trees?
Sets of three trees (Jonagold, Cameo and Fuji, growing side-by-side) are available for $225.
Are pets allowed on the farm?
Due to insurance regulations, pets are not allowed on the farm.
September 27th & 28th “Johnny Appleseed’s Birthday Celebration”
The best way to celebrate Johnny Appleseed’s birthday is to join us at Hill Creek Farms. Spend this day on the farm with us where you can pick fresh apples for the family to enjoy throughout the week.
You will find so much to do here at Hill Creek Farms. Come check out our new additions especially our bakery located in the barn. We have pumpkins of all sizes, and shapes for your fall décor, including gourds, corn stalks, Indian corn, straw bales and much more!
Sign up for the “Johnny Appleseed Club”
Two groups: 1st at 10:00am and next at 2:00pm…cost $ 8.75
-The story of Johnny Appleseed will be read to the children.
- A lesson about the different varieties of apples that are grown at Hill Creek Farms and how to pick them.
- Each child will enjoy a fresh apple cider donut and a cup of apple cider while we sing Happy Birthday to Johnny Appleseed.
- The group will also receive a visit from Hill Creek Farms “Mr. Apple” himself for pictures.
- Each child will be given a 1/2 peck basket to pick fresh apples from the orchard with a guided tour. Your apples will be bagged with individual names on them.
- Every child and their family will receive a tractor ride around the orchard.

Fun for everyone:
- Bring your picnic basket and blanket and enjoy lunch together in our beautiful orchard.
- Enjoy a tractor ride throughout the orchard, fun of picking your own tasty apples
- Donut bobbing contest at 11:00 & 3:00 for ages 5-11yrs (see below for rules)
- Pie Eating Contests held at 2:00pm age 12yrs and over (see below for rules)
- Our new Gem Stone Mining will have prize giveaways for that special find.
- Have exciting family fun with our new Jumbo Bounce House, Whacky Water Pump Duck Racing, climb Tire Mountain and enjoy playing games together in Grand-Pop Sam’s Farm Fun Land.
- Sip cider inside the barn and have ice cream as you shop for crafts, pies, caramel apples and other fresh goodies from our new bakery.
We are closed for the 2014 Season
We would like to thank you for making this a fantastic Fall Season! We will be reopening in late August for the 2015 season. We expect a full harvest, and we hope to see you then.
